新聞を活用した授業/Using Newspapers in the Classroom

本校は2019年度よりNIE実践指定校になっており、新聞を活用した授業を推進しております。

GKA has been selected as a national NIE(Newspaper In Education) school since 2019 and encourages use of newspapers in class.

7年生は新聞を使った授業の一環として、一緒に読もう！新聞コンクールに挑戦します。4月26日に行われた授業では、生徒一人一人が新聞を受け取り、気になる記事を選びました。記事について考えを書き、また他の人に記事を読んでもらって意見を聞いたのち、自分の意見や提言などをまとめます。新聞を通して文部科学省の推進する主体的・対話的で、深い学びを実践していきます。

Grade 7 students challenged the concours of “Read together Newspaper.”   In the lesson, each student got a newspaper and choose an article which he/she is interested in.   They wrote an opinion and shared the article to get another opinion.   Finally, they made suggestions integrating two opinions.    This activity promotes proactive, interactive and authentic learning suggested by MEXT.

10年生はテーマに合わせて記事を集め、ポスターを作成します。学校で用意された7紙30日分の新聞や、自宅で購入している新聞から、自ら設定したテーマに沿った記事を収集しています。デジタル検索が主流になりつつありますが、生徒たちは隣に書かれた記事にも興味を持つなど、アナログの良さも体感しています。

Grade 10 students are making posters integrating newspaper articles.   GKA prepared 7 newspapers for 30 days.    Students can set the topic about contemporary society and collect the articles relating to.  They got used to digital searching on internet but also enjoying to analog method searching.
