文科省の指針により、今年度の調理実習は実施していません。
屋外での炊飯のため、人参を切る練習をする様子です。
1人1台の調理台を使用して、ソーシャルディスタンスも徹底しています。
家庭科で学習することは、一人で生活するようになるとありがたみがわかるようになるものです。
初めて皮むき器や包丁にさわったという児童もいて、おぼつかない手つきで取り組んでいました。
学校でやらなければ料理したことのないまま一人暮らしを始めるという大人もたくさん出てくるのでしょう。
こんなところからも学校教育の大切さを改めて感じます。

Due to Ministry of Education guidelines, we are not having cooking practice this year.
Here they are practicing cutting carrots for cooking rice outdoors.
Each student uses one cooking table, and social distance is also thoroughly practiced.
What they learn in home economics is something that they will come to appreciate when they start living on their own.
For some of the students, it was their first time to touch a peeler or a knife, and they were working with sloppy hands.
If it were not for the school, there would be many adults who would start living alone without having ever cooked before.
This reminds us of the importance of school education.
