休校延長にともなう本校のオンライン授業について / Online lessons during the School Closure period

新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大防止・予防のため、

ぐんま国際アカデミー中高等部では、ゴールデンウィーク明けまで休校期間を延長をしております。

また、教職員にも可能な限りのテレワークを推奨し、

G-Suiteを活用して、自宅からでも業務が可能な体制を整えています。

Gunma Kokusai Academy Secondary School has extended the school closure until May 7th, in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.

Also, we are preparing the conditions for teachers and staff to work from home as much as possible with full use of G-suite.

この期間中も生徒達が学びを止めないよう、

本校では休校期間中もオンラインでの朝の会（SHR）や

通常の時間割通りの授業の実施を行っています。

生徒達は各自のデバイスを通して授業にアクセスするとともに、

希望する生徒に対しては学校よりノートパソコン、ヘッドセット、Webカメラの貸し出し等も行いました。

So that students can continue learning smoothly during the closure period,

we are conducting morning SHR and lessons online following the regular timetable.

Students access classes from their own devices or devices they borrowed from the school.

4月9日より新年度のオンライン授業を開始いたしました。

オンライン授業にあたっては、「Zoom」や「Google Hangout」といった

テレビ会議システムを活用しています。

いくつか授業の様子を紹介したいと思います。

Online lesson of this school year has started since 9th April, 2020.

We use “Zoom” and “Google Hangout” for video meeting.

In this article, we would like to introduce some examples of online lessons conducted on the first day.

9:00～9:20は朝のホームルームです。

担任とコミュニケーションを取り、体調確認をすることも目的としているため、

あえて一人一人点呼をして声を聞くことで、出欠の確認を取っています。

Morning SHR is conducted from 9:00 to 9:20 every morning.

As the purpose of morning SHR is not only to take attendance

but also to maintain students life style and communicate with HR teachers,

teachers take roll call to check their attendance.

9:25～16:00まで、1日7時間の時間割を組んでいます。

しかし、1日中生徒がパソコンの画面を見ていることは好ましくないと考えているため、

Zoomにログインして授業を受ける時間と、

ログインせずに提示された課題に自宅で取り組む時間を

概ね半分程度になるように教員間で調整しています。

7 lessons are conducted a day from 9:25 to 16:00.

However, as we think it is not effective and not good for their health to keep being in front of the computer screen, about the half of class requires students to log in Zoom and the other half allow them to work on the assignments by themselves. 

＜7年生社会 Grade 7 Social Studies＞

プリントをPDFで配布し、画面で共有しながらこれからの学習の方法を説明していきます。

Provide documents and share them on the screen to explain what and how they are going to learn in this class.

＜9年生数学 Grade 9 Math＞

グループごとに分かれ、各グループでディスカッションした内容を

Google Slideを使ってまとめていきます。

Discussed by group, and summarized what they have discussed on Google Slide.

＜12年生公民探求 Grade 12 Civics Inquiry＞

与えられた問いに対して、生徒達がZoomのチャット機能を活用して

意見を深めていきます。

Students exchanged their thoughts to the topic given using the Chat function of Zoom.

＜8年生美術 Grade 8 Visual Art＞

JamboardというGoogleのアプリを用いて、

生徒達がオンラインで付箋を使ったブレインストーミングをしました。

「Tessellation（切りはめ細工）」をテーマにした美術と数学の融合単元であったため、

上の写真に示されたような図が何に見えるかアイデアを出し合いました。

This was the orientation of the topic of “Tessellation”

Students did brain-storming to put ideas using “Jamboard” to share how they have observed the image above.

＜7年生国語 Grade 7 JLA＞

Google Classroomを用いた課題の提出方法、

資料の共有方法などを練習しています。

Explained how students submit their assignments and share documents via Google Classroom.

＜9年生国語 Grade 9 JLA＞

IBの「言語と文学」における学習の考え方を、

スライドや動画を視聴することで学び、意見を共有し合いました。

Students watched video and slide to learn the approaches to learn Language and Literature in IB,

and shared what they have thought.

＜7年生ATL（学習の方法） Grade 7 Approaches to Learning＞

Zoomの機能を使って小グループに分かれてディスカッションを行い、

一日の学びの内容を振り返ってGoogle Slideにまとめました。

Students had discussion in small groups to reflect what they have felt on the first day,

and wrote it on the Google Slide.

通常の授業に加えて、生徒と担任の週1回のオンラインでの個別面談、

生活習慣や授業への満足度などを聞くアンケートを週1回で行っていく予定です。

また、スクールカウンセラーとの連絡もメール、電話、テレビ電話で生徒・保護者が取れるようにしています。

In addition to the regular lessons, we are planning to conduct 1-on-1 consultation with students once a week, conduct weekly survey to ask students’ well-being during the school closure period.

Also, we are planning to secure the contact to the school counselor via e-mail, phone call and Zoom for both parents and students.

まだまだ新年度のオンライン授業が始まったばかりで、

改善しなければいけない点はありますが、

生徒達と学校とのつながり、生徒たち同士のつながりを保ち、

よりよい学習環境を提供し続けられるよう、

我々は創意工夫を続けていきたいと思います。

We have now just started online lessons for the new school year,

and there are still some space to be improved.

We are willing to make our best efforts to provide effective learning environment and maintain connections between students.
