Grade 6: Science Toy Fair

サイエンスフェア「おもちゃ作り」

６学年の理科の学習内容が終了しました。最後のまとめとして、今まで学習した内容を使っておもちゃをデザインするという課題が出されました。６年生たちは、電池や磁力、手動発電などを用いて張り切って挑戦していました。

サステナブル、リユースという観点からも各グループが創造性を発揮し、様々なおもちゃが並びました。写真ではそのいくつかを紹介しています。初等部で学習した理科の知識は、中等部に進級してからも、子どもたちに役立っていくことでしょう。

Grade 6 students finished their science studies at GKA elementary school.  For their final challenge, they were asked to design a toy that demonstrates the scientific principles that they have been studying.  This year’s class rose to meet the challenge, making toys that run on electricity, magnetic force, mechanical energy and more.

With a focus on sustainability and reusable materials, the students showed great creativity in the variety of toys they made. Here are a few examples of their work.  The science knowledge that they gained will serve them well when they go to junior high school.
