Grade 1: Jump Rope Spor-thlon

第１学年：スポスロン（大繩）

「スポスロン」とはGKA体育科が創り出した造語です。「スポーツ」という言葉とギリシャ語で「身体的な挑戦」を意味する「アスロン」という語を組み合わせています。GKAスポスロンとは、楽しみながら学年ごとに行うクラス対抗のイベントとなっています。２月のスポスロンは大繩で、３分間に縄を跳んだ数を競うものです。こちらは１年生がスポスロンをしている写真と動画となっています。今回は、１Cが一番多く跳べましたが、全員一生懸命に取り組み、良い時間を過ごしていました。

G1: Jump Rope Spor-thlon

“Spor-thlon” is a unique word created by the PE teachers here at GKA.  It is a combination of the word SPORT and the suffix -ATHALON which means ‘physical trial’ in Greek.  The GKA Spor-thlon is a friendly competition between the classes of each grade. February’s Spor-thlon event is a contest to see which team (class) can jump rope the most times in three minutes.  Here, pictures and video show Grade 1 competing for the championship. This year, class 1C was victorious, but everyone showed their fighting spirit and had a good time.
