11年生：IBDP地理フィールドワーク / IBDP Geography Field Work

秋晴れのさわやかな日差しの中、11年生「IBDP地理」選択の生徒達が、群馬県桐生市でフィールドワークを行いました。

生徒達は実際に川に入り、川の流れの速さや深さなど、様々なデータを取得して河川の地理的特徴が上流域から下流域にかけてどのように変化するのかを分析しました。

このように、教室の中での学びだけではなく、現実世界のデータを自分たちで集めることで地理学者としての研究手法を体験できるのも、IBプログラムの大きな特徴の一つです。

On a clear and beatiful autumn day, 11th grade students who chose “IBDP Geography” conducted fieldwork in Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture.

The students actually entered a river and analyzed how the geographical features of the river change from upstream to downstream by acquiring various data such as the speed and depth of the river’s flow.

Thus, one of the main features of the IB program is that students can experience research methods as geographers by collecting real-world data on their own, in addition to learning in the classroom.
