第5学年　稲刈り

社会科の授業では、米づくりについて学習します。日々の主食であるお米についてより深く理解するために、5年生たちは6月に手で田植えを行いました。そして、10月に手作業で稲刈りを行いました。

これから適度に乾燥させてから、家庭科の授業でお米を炊いて食べる予定です。

In Social Studies 5th grade students learn about rice production in Japan. In order to better understand what is involved to get the rice they eat daily, in June they planted it by hand. Then in October, again by hand, they harvested their crop. Later, after it has been properly dried, students will cook and enjoy eating that rice in Home Economics.
