6年生：洗濯実習　/　Grade 6: Hand Wasing Practice

夏休み前に、6年生は家庭科で洗濯実習を行いました。

お天気が心配でしたが、夏らしい日ざしに恵まれ、お洗濯日和となりました。

子ども達は、教室の外のデッキにたらいを運び出し、嬉しそうに持って来たTシャツを洗い始めました。

学習した通りに、もみ洗い、つまみ洗いと進み、すすぎのための絞りに入ると、「絞るのたいへ〜ん！』と、驚きの声が聞こえてきました。

一番の難所が、絞りだったようです。

立ち上がり、力を込めると、腕に伝った水を感じたようで「洗濯って気持ちがいいね」と笑顔があふれました。

学校行事の中止が続いていますが、子ども達にとって、洗濯実習も楽しいイベントになったようです。

Gr.6 students had hand washing practice in Home Economics class before Summer Break.

We were lucky to have a good day for laundry.

Students brought the wash tub out and started happily washing their T-shirts.

They practiced rubbing and pinching wash methods and squeezed water from the clothes.

“Squeezing was the hardest part of doing laundry,” they said and added “Washing clothes makes me feel good,” when they felt cold water on their arms.

Lots of other activities have been cancelled this year due to Covid-19, so the students were happy because doing the laundry was a fun event.
