G3: Peace’s Seed・３年生：平和の種
In 3rd grade music class this year through a collaboration with JLA, students are getting the opportunity to learn and sing the classic Japanese Song Heiwa no Tane (Peace’s Seed). Students who thought about the importance of peace in “Chii-chan no Kageokuri” are singing the song “Heiwa no Tane” in Japanese, feeling the melody in music class.
We are excited to continue doing more collaborations like this in the future, combining the arts with more academic subjects is a great way to make learning practical and enjoyable for all students.
3年生の音楽の授業では、国語の授業と教科横断学習をしました。「ちいちゃんのかげおくり」で平和の大切さを考えた子ども達が、音楽の授業でメロディーを感じながら、日本語で「平和の種」という曲を歌っている様子です。芸術関係の授業と、アカデミックな授業を組み合わせた学習が増えると、子どもはより実践的で楽しく学ぶことができます。
